Jim Crawford
VP & Information Officer
Biography
Jim has more than 20 years of experience in information technology. Before assuming his current position in 2006, he served various roles within Kaiser Permanente, including Senior Director of Planning and Operations and Regional Chief Information Officer for the Georgia and Ohio regions.
Jim holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is a volunteer technology consultant as a board member for Playworks and Year-up, previously served on the board of directors for the Barlow Foundation and the Health Information Exchange for Los Angeles County (LANES), and served as board chair for Health-e-LA.
This organization delivers information technology to more than 4.4 million Kaiser Permanente members in Southern California, as well as 7,300 physicians and 69,000 employees who work in 15 medical centers and nearly 220 medical offices across the region.
This Leadership team is responsible for delivering value for almost $1 billion dollars in operating and investment spend and managing a technology roadmap that includes tracks such as:
Laboratory, Medical Imaging, Pharmacy, Complete Care Management, Patient Administration, Outpatient Inpatient, Corporate Services, Health Plan, and Infrastructure.
