Lesson Plan:
With all the children sitting on the carpet in front of the teacher

3. Allow the children to answer, “it's a sheep, It is Rupert the White Sheep.”
4. “Yes, that is right. It is Rupert the White Sheep. What can you remember about
Rupert the White Sheep?”
5. Allow the children time to an,swer “he is short, lives on a farm, stands on grass, He
is the same height as Georgia the Shetland Pony.”
6. “I want to teach you something new about Rupert the White Sheep today. He has a special movement like Harriet the Cow and Georgia the Shetland Pony. Do you think we can all stand up so I can show you Rupert the White Sheep’s movement?”
7. Allow the children time to stand up.
8. “Now are we all standing? Can you remember we are the same height as
Georgia the Shetland Pony, but not as tall as Harriet the Cow. Rupert the White Sheep is also a straight line, but a short straight line.” Demonstrate the movement and have the children copy you. “Great, can you see we are making ourselves into a short straight line?”
9. “This is Rupert the White Sheep’s movement. So when I show you Rupert the White Sheep, I would like you to show me his movement.”
10. “Shall we have a practice? Everyone stand normally.” Show the picture of
Rupert the White Sheep again.
11. Allow the children to show you the movement.
12. “Brilliant, well done everyone. Tomorrow we will see Rupert the White Sheep again”
