John Harbist Retires from GCU
On Friday, October 18, GCU employees gathered for a luncheon
to celebrate the career of GCU Compliance Officer John P. Harbist
as he began his retirement at the end of September.
John joined the GCU on April 1, 1983 and devoted the next 41 plus
years working in multiple roles in the organization. He provided GCU
members with not only excellent service, but also an ear to listen to
their concerns or just to spend a few minutes discussing whatever
they wanted to talk about. The last several years of his career, John
served as the Compliance Officer of the GCU ensuring that the
organization was following all requirements in the states where GCU
is licensed.
We wish John nothing but the best as he enters into his
retirement. God grant him many happy and healthy years!
