race boats much in the way the modern Formula 1 race cars have a safety cell
(citadel) to protect the drivers from external force shock.
From the past history of these rigs and the experience gained the Hazard
Identification, Analysis and Mitigations have all been comprehensively constructed
and documented in the Hazard Log. The conclusion arrived at is that all the identified
hazards have been mitigated to an acceptable level and can be classed as ALARP
(Ref 1, 2 &3). The ALARP statements are given, along with the hazard narrative in
Chapters 5 and 6.
These rigs are at this time considered to be acceptably safe and fit for purpose and
also meet the design intent.
