         Additional measures to prevent contamination:


          File ragged fingernails



                o They are hard to keep clean


                o They can hold pathogens


                o They can break off into food


          Do NOT wear nail polish



                o It can be worn if the food handler wears single-use gloves as they can chip

                      and contaminate food items


          Do NOT wear false fingernails


                o They can be worn if the food handler wears single-use gloves
