The earlier John was born in Morganshire in Wales He was born in the 1600s-1687 and it was
called Gla Morgan gyre arm Glamorgan and it was in Wales. There was River referred to as both Glamorgan
and Morgan gyre, it is Welsh. It is one of the 13 historic counties in Wales and the former administrative
County of Wales. it was originally a mid-evil pet petty kingdom of varying boundaries until taken over by the
Normans. The lordship, represented by the three preserved counties of mid-level warrants, Southern and
then West Glamorgan my name also survives in that the veil of Glamorgan.
Initially the area was a rural and pastoral area of the little value the area had become known as
Glamorgan was a conflict point between Norman Lords and the Welsh princes with the area being defined
by large concentration of castles after falling under the English rule in the 16th century.
Wales became a more stable country and exploited its natural resources to become the important
part of the Industrial Revolution. Glamorgan was the most populist and industrialized county in Wales and
was once called the crucible of the Industrial Revolution it contained the world centers of three and
metallurgical industries and its rich resources of coal.
The County of Glamorgan was comprised of Three distinct regions. The industrial valleys, the iron
her cultural Valley and the scenic glower Peninsula. The county was bond bound by the North by Brecon
gyre and in the Zeast by MONMOUTDH Shire and the South by the Bristol Channel and West by the
CARMARPH Shire. In total area it was about 2,000 square kilometers or 800 mi.² From 1974
Glamorgan contain city of the county town and from 1955 the capital city of Wales. The highest
point in the country was Craig Dalyn which was said to be 2,000 feet high. The population was about
300,000.
The people came from England because they wanted freedom from the British ruler, who at the
time was King George, the third, but more importantly they wanted religious freedom.
Larger numbers of Welsh immigrants arrived in North America after 1865 when the 13th
amendment of the Constitution outlawed slavery in the United States. Insufficient figures for immigrants
onto United States were available before 1820. Some ended up in the Pennsylvania area. The fact that
they were in Pennsylvania, and down in the southern states, indicates that the Welsh were slaveholders.
Whilst immigration before 1840 was weak and sporadic
one writer said that following in my studies of the Welsh families through our south it has become
very evident and not just the Scots settled the southern states, even more Welsh surnames nominate any
list of community names. The name Vaughan obviously, it's Gaelic. Early on many Welsh families settled in
Ireland but later perhaps in times of famine and left for America.
The actual origin of the Welsh name was one of those derived from Christian names, and England,
like Jones Thomas, Davies, or Williams, the prefix AV meaning son-of ,the way that Scott's name like Mac for
example. Richard and Hudson surnames derived from the Galic, take sources from the Celtic sources like
Vaughan. It came from Celtic's. This was happening on the 15th and 16th century.
The Morgans give some examples from early records, William, app John Thomas meaning the son of
John Thomas, he was a standard bearer of the King Henry VIII, and became known as William Jones. Often
times when family was located in a bilingual border area between Wales and England that names got a little
