TOLERANCE DAY
GRADE 1-3 (26/9/2019)

Primary students of GIHS observed Tolerance Day on 26 th

September 2019.It was such a valuable day for the students GRADE 1
as the ability to be tolerant of others is one of the most
important aspect every child needs in his or her social toolbox.
Activities were conducted in the classes as the part of
‘Tolerance Day’.

GRADE 1

In today’s society, especially with the current globalized world
it is important for children to learn to accept others from
their early age. As part of the tolerance day celebration,
grade 1 students of GIHS got a chance to share their views
and ideas about tolerance. Through this activity, students
spoke about tolerance and related the topic with the sub
theme “we may all look different but we swim together.”
Students brought the hand puppets of different sea creatures
and showed their way of accepting others through their
speech. They felt happy and confident.

It was evident from their presentation that the activity was
profoundly thought provoking and informative.
