To wrap up the Science Week on 25 April, 2019 a thematic assembly was conducted in
the Kindergarten and students were encouraged to speak about the different elements of
Earth. They also explained the conservation of Earth, Trees and about the importance of
reducing, recycling and reusing. Students from Grades 1-12 brought different plants and
conducted an exhibition of those plants. The scientific name, family, English name, Hindi
and Arabic names of the plants were mentioned along with their significance and
medicinal uses. The students of G.I.H.S. got to identify, differentiate different plants, which
they use in their daily life and also analyzed the importance of those plants. Some students
also prepared herbarium sheets of some plants.
