QUIZ CLUB                           Quiz Club is  a  unique  and  exciting platform to  motivate,  inspire,

                                                                  encourage and reward children in their quest for knowledge and provide


                                                                  them with the opportunity to celebrate their achievements as part of a

                                                                  high  profile,  national competition. Quiz club conducted the  first  club

                                                                  activity by setting an objective to inculcate reading and enquiry behavior


                                                                  in children. The club in-charge teachers distributed Youngest Magazine to

                                                                  the  students  to  develop  reading skill.  Students prepared  a  quiz

                                                                  questionnaire with answers and noted down the questionnaires in their


                                                                  note  book. The  writing  task  helped students  to  improve vocabulary

                                                                  building. Each member of the club was engaged in the activity. The session

                                                                  was very interactive as it initiated discussions among students. Surely


                                                                  such activities will prove to be milestones in thirst for Knowledge.






                              LITERARY CLUB                        The first activity of the literary club was Story Writing. Students from

                                                                grade 4 to 12 were asked to write a story on the given topic ‘A Narrow

                                                                Escape’. The objective of this activity was to develop fine  motor skills,


                                                                artistic self-expression and better understanding of the mechanics of reading

                                                                and writing. Students from 4- 12 were asked to write a short story spanning

                                                                around 200 words on the topic “Narrow Escape” within an hour. This


                                                                activity  helped  the  students  to  foster  imagination  and  creativity  as  it

                                                                improved their ability to come up with alternative story lines. Opportunity

                                                                for self-expression through this activity proved beneficial to many students


                                                                and they were able to assert their ideas and develop their ‘’voice “which

                                                                really  strengthened  their  confidence.  Students  participated  very


                                                                enthusiastically  in  this  activity  and  seemed  engrossed  throughout  the

                                                                activity time.






                                  IT CLUB
                                                                The aim of the IT Club of GIHS is to promote the knowledge of Information

                                                                Technology through seminars, workshops, websites of data etc. as well as to

                                                                organize training for the required skills. The IT club successfully conducted


                                                                its first activity on April 18 2019 with a CROSS WORD PUZZLE for
                                                                                                th
                                                                the students of Grade 4-6 to improve their knowledge in computer hardware

                                                                related words. Students actively identified the spelling of the given words


                                                                and marked them in the given puzzle. Students analysed and critically solved

                                                                the puzzle. It was a brainstorming session for the students. Presentation on

                                                                the topic “ROBOTICS AND CLOUD COMPUTING” by the students of Grade


                                                                7  to  12  was  very  interesting  and  informative.  Students  displayed  their

                                                                knowledge  with their  presentation  on  robotics Wonderful  ideas  on  the


                                                                importance of the usage of Robotics in today’s time was shared through this

                                                                presentation. It also gave an insight into the impact of Robotics in this era

                                                                of technology.
