Commemoration Day!

COMMEMORATION DAY 2018
GIHS observed the Commemoration Day on 29th
November 2018 as per the directives from the
UAE government.
The day was observed to pay tribute to the heroes
who offered their lives in defense of the great
nation.
The UAE flag remained half-mast from 8.00 a.m.
to 11.30 a.m. A minute of silent prayer was offered
for the martyrs as a mark of respect to all those
martyrs who have sacrificed their lives in UAE
and abroad to defend the country’s honor and
ideals.
To commemorate the sovereignty of the nation,
the flag was unfurled and hoisted at 11.30 a.m..All
in unison sang UAE National Anthem reflecting
our sentiments towards the nation, leadership and
the land we live in.
