ACTIVITY 2
MEASURING
PLANTS
❖ To measure the height, diameter, and circumference of
a tree.
OBJECTIVES
❖ To determine a tree’s age by counting growth rings.
In the activity of measuring different trees,
students were asked to measure the length of
the trees with the given measuring scale. The
students checked the growth of the trees by
changing the annual precipitation rate.
Through this activity, the students
assimilated the age of the trees can also be
determined by means of counting the growth
rings.
