Algebra Tiles:

Students of grade 8 added and subtracted two or more algebraic expression using
algebra tiles. Students wrote algebraic expressions and simplified it using algebra
tiles.

One Assessment solution – Multiple uses:
To identify the learning gaps and misconception of students, a multipurpose

assessment system was introduced through BYOD. It evaluates the student at three
different stages of learning as Ascertain (a Pre-Assessment conducted before the lesson),
Insight (a formative assessment done where students are exposed to understanding level

questions) and Excel (an end line assessment). At the start, Ascertain was successfully
conducted and the remedial was given to the students with misconceptions.
