Fota House gets funky for the Guinness Cork Jazz festival

Fota House is delighted to host the Phill Collins Trio for a special gig in the beautiful Library at
Fota House on Thursday 25th October.
The Phill Collins Trio are all about versatility – Phill, Chris and Fionn craft modern interpre-
tations of jazz and pop standards, modern jazz and funky grooves. The Trio have worked
together for several years and have recorded two albums, Bucolic and Floored. They join us at
Fota House for the first time in 2018 for an evening concert
This gig is in part inspired by Monty Alexander and his appearance at the Guinness Cork
Jazz Festival last year. Pianist Phill reflected, “I was just so impressed by the sense of fun he
brought to the gig; that jazz was about entertaining as well as having musical depth”.
Doors are at 19:30, show starts at 20:00 with an interval at 20:40. Tickets €20 including com-
plimentary glass of wine and free parking.

So get in the car or hop on the train to Fota House and whet your appetite for what promises
to be another great Jazz Weekend in Cork!
