AP PHYSICS C
Description: This course is a second year physics course teaching laws of motion through a
balance of lectures with guided discussions and hands-on lab activities. This course incorporates
first year concepts with calculus based problem solving skills.
Skills for Success: students should have a good understanding of the kinematics and dynamics
as well as algebra skills, strong reading skills, and the ability to adapt and learn in different ways.
Academic Suitability: At the time of enrollment students need to have already completed
honors physics or AP physics one and be sitting in or have already completed an AP calculus
course (AB or BC).
Out of Class Commitments: Homework is a sign; homework includes textbook problems, open
ended lab responses, as well as announced quizzes preparation. Projects will be assigned each
semester and may require work outside of class. In addition, students may routinely require
extra help from before and after school sessions.
