Teaching and learning is a broad concept, one that is
broken down by the idealism of the participants
involved in the process, and the context that teaching
and learning takes place in. In order for a school to be
considered “ideal”, it must have conducive infrastructure regardless of where the school is located or
situated. It accommodates every race, ethnic groups, gender, age and promotes or protects the
human rights of every individual as stated by the constitution of South Africa in the bill of rights. An
ideal school promotes social justice, equality, equity and always protects leaners from injustice and
inequality.
An ideal school use different tools to assist learners on their success, particularly an ideal school is led
by people who value others, their voice and need for choice. An ideal school does not only focus on
academical aspects, but also focuses on extramural activities whereby it is essential and needs to be
incorporated at the school as also stated by the curriculum. An ideal school emphasizes moral values,
kindness and compassion as well as taking priority to help every learner or individual to reach their
full potential. Therefore, school context is very essential for an ideal teacher to ensure that teaching
and learning takes place to the optimal benefit of learners. hence, an ideal teacher is needed in an
ideal school in order to create an ideal classroom so that teaching and learning can take place. The
brochure will briefly describe the school context of Malvern high and further describes the “ideal”
teacher needed for the school, and with further illustrations of pictures and videos.
