E. Stratified epithelia (transitional)

F. STRATIFIED.- Two or more layers
Stratified epithelia are multilayered and therefore stronger than
simple epithelia.
They perform a protective function and are found in tissue exposed to
everyday wear and tear, such as the mouth, esophagus, and skin.
a) Stratified squamous-Outer layer of the skin
-Lining of mouth, esophagus, anus, and
vagina
Most common of the stratified epithelia.
