Extensor carpi ulnaris
Wrist Flexion Palpate the flexor carpi Flexor carpi radialis
radialis on the volar
surface of the wrist in Flexor carpi ulnaris
line with the second Palmaris Longus
metacarpal and radial to
the palmaris longus.
The flexor carpi ulnaris is
palpated in the volar*
surface of the wrist just
proximal to the pisiform
bone. The palmaris longus is
a weak flexor. The tendon
crosses the center of the
volar surface of the wrist. It Flexor Carpi Radialis
may not even be present. If
it is present, it will stand out
prominently in the middle of
the wrist during flexion.
