작가노트(Artist's Note)

그림을 그린다는 것은 길을 떠나는 것과 비슷하다. 그런데 가야 할 길은 분명하게 보이지 않고, 목적지 또한 막연하다. 늘 상 안개 낀 숲
속에 홀로 서 있는 듯 막막함이 그지없다. 그러나 용기 내어 발을 내딛어 본다. 그러면 길이 점점 보이기 시작하고, 목적지도 흐릿하게 시
야에 들어온다. 때로 길을 잃어 한참 동안 헤매기도 하고, 심지어 갔던 길을 되돌아오기도 하지만 그것도 여정의 일부분이라 여기며 길을
간다. 오늘도 나는 숙명처럼 길을 떠난다. 막막함이 좋다.

Painting is similar to hitting the road. However, the road is not clear, and the destination is also vague. It is always as if you
are standing alone hopelessly in the misty forest. However, I courage myself and step forward. Then the road gradually
begins to be seen, and the destination is dimly visible to me. Sometimes I get lost and wander for a long time, and even
return to the road I went to, but I go on the road thinking that it is part of the journey. Today, I go on my way and it is like
fate. I like the feeling of hopelessness.
