물과 공기를 하나님이 인간에게 주신 잡히지 않는 선물이라고 하면, 볼 수 있고 곁에 머무를 수 있는 소중한 선물은
자연인 듯하다. 자연을 따라 산, 들, 호수 그리고 제주도를 찾아 자연에 흠뻑 빠졌던 이유가 나에게 다가온 큰 나무
인 것 같다. 작품을 구성하는 내내 나를 찾아온 나무는 나와 호흡하고 생명으로 재탄생된다. 빛과 그림자에 묻혀 있
는 나무가, 캔버스에 새로운 옷으로 입혀질 때. 또 하나의 친구가 된다. 난 자연 그대로가 좋다….

If water and air are undetected gifts from God to humans, it seems that nature is the precious gift
that can be seen and stayed next to them. I think the reason why I fell in love with nature in search of
mountains, fields, lakes, and Jeju Island along nature is a big tree that came to me. The tree that came
to me throughout the composition of the work breathes with me and is reborn as life. When the wood,
buried in light and shadow, is dressed in new clothes on the canvas. It becomes another friend. I like
nature as it is...
