morning tea baking for a school project. Numerous people have done the same
with me, allowing me a glimpse into their homes and families – something which
has no doubt been difficult at times but is a great connection piece between us
all. Throughout all the Zoom meetings we have had many laughs, maybe a few
cries, frozen faces and robotic voices due to failed internet, but overall we have
learnt more about each other. We have been empathetic and realised that it is
important to remember the people we are working with, not just the role they do.

Working with our family of Network Partners is the main part of my role at DWN,
and it’s wonderful to be able to see how many of our Partners want to continue
to share their knowledge, expertise and skills with the dairy industry, especially
through new channels like online webinars. We talk about our ‘family’ of Network
Partners because we work closely together and our values align to ensure that
we are all supporting the same key outcomes, empowering our Regional Leaders
and members every day through workshops, webinars, blogs and so many other
channels.
Looking forward to 2022 I can’t wait to get out and about, see everyone face-
to-face and deliver some amazing workshops while continuing to grow and
profile the industry. We have a number of exciting opportunities for members
that the wider team and I are excited about, and we have been working hard in
the background to support these initiatives which we hope will in turn support
yourselves, your communities and your businesses.

We live in an ever-changing world and personally I wouldn’t have it any other
way. Change is inevitable so let’s continue to embrace it, learn from the past,
understand and appreciate all the research and development at our finger tips,
and use technology to continue to grow a stronger industry.

I’d like to personally thank our Network Partners for your continued support and
dedication to DWN, our members who we would not be here without, and the
rest of the DWN team. We could not do what we do without each and every one
of you.
