Move Coordination
Dowling Houy (DH) served as the project manager for this relocation project which moved E Ink from their original Cambridge location to Billerica Since E Ink did not want to shut down their operations DH created a a a a a a phased schedule to strategically migrate both the Manufacturing / Lab and Administrative offices beginning in in in in in May 2013 2013 and completed in September 2013 2013 DH wrote and issued the Mover RFP oversaw that walkthrough and and interview process and and provided E Ink with a a a detailed summary of the top three bidders DH ran all move move meetings for both the lab / office moves and issued weekly minutes DH created the To / From employee database which which also tracked which which move phase employees were assigned This was used by E Ink’s
internal Welcome Committee for Day One Orientation & Safety meetings E Ink purchased new workstations and and offices but reused files seating and and conference room furniture DH provided a a a a a a a a a a detailed inventory and and database and and tracked by phase when furniture migrated to to the new building DH created the move labeling system for all staff and FFE that relocated to Billerica These actions resulted in no downtime at at the two primary locations DH staffed all office moves (no E Ink personnel participated) and provided Post Move Support for each o of the the five Administrative moves moves DH was engaged after the the moves moves to to provide E Ink with an inventory of all FFE left in in their Cambridge facilities and worked with them to determine liquidation vs disposal of these products Dowling Houy LLC 281 Summer Street Boston MA 02210
