A local woman who was on the Tulare County Sheriffs Office Top Ten Most Wanted Criminals list was apprehended last week.

A forklift was recently recovered by Tulare County Sheriff Detectives in Caruthers after the unit was reportedly stolen from Sun West Fruit Company in Dinuba.

• A male was reportedly assaulting his father in the 700 block of North Euclid Avenue at 1:24 p.m.
• A trespasser was reported in the area of College Avenue and South L Street at 4:21 p.m. A subject wearing a black shirt and jeans was reportedly seen entering the old Boy Scout building through a window.
• A noise complaint for loud music and subjects drinking was reported in the 600 block of North Whitney Avenue at 11:32 p.m.
Sunday, April 7
• A male wearing all black reportedly stole a bike near Grocery Outlet. It was reported at 11:01 a.m.
• A theft report was made in the 300 block of East Mariposa Avenue at 11:28 a.m. A planter statue with a windmill was reportedly stolen from a front porch.
• A cell phone was reportedly stolen in the 1200 block of East Sierra Way. It was reported at 5:05 p.m.
• A fire was reported in the area of Avenue 416 and Road 92 at 9:54 p.m. A grass fire was reportedly seen in an open field behind the Island.
• A male subject in a confrontation reportedly pulled out a knife in the 2000 block of East Olive Way. It was reported at 11:37 p.m.

Refugio Meras Calvillo
Refugio Meras Calvillo, a resident of Dinuba, died April 2, 2019. He was 87.
He was a laborer.
Services were held April 10 at Nueva Esperanza Church in Dinuba.
Surviving family members include five sons, seven daughters, three brothers, five sisters, 48 grandchildren, 74 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.
Sterling & Smith Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Tommy Hotta
Tommy Hotta, a resident of Reedley, died March 18, 2019. He was 71.
He was a maintenance supervisor.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, April 13 at 2 p.m. at Reedley Buddhist Church.
Surviving family members include a brother and two sisters.

Maria P. Russell
Maria P. Russell, a resident of Dinuba, died April 5, 2019. She was 73.
She was a farm laborer.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 17 at 10 a.m. at Smith Mountain Cemetery.
Surviving family members include a son, daughter, 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Dopkins Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
Les E. Sasser
Les E. Sasser, a resident of Friant, died March 30, 2019. He was 74.
He was a production manager.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 12 at noon at Dopkins Funeral Chapel.
Surviving family members include his spouse, a daughter, brother and five grandchildren.

• A theft report was made in the 100 block of West Merced Street at 10:00 a.m.
• A subject was seen going through a window of an abandoned building in the area of College Aveneu and Academy Way at 11:59 a.m.
• A subject was reportedly hiding in the bushes between Walgreens and the Memorial Building. It was reported at 1:41 p.m.
• A group of about six juveniles were reportedly smoking near the band shell at Rose Ann Vuich Park at 3:53 p.m.
• A vehicle fire was reported in the area of Avenue 424 and Road 96 at 4:58 p.m.
• House keys were reported stolen in the 600 block of North Hayes Avenue at 7:22 p.m.
• Domestic violence was reported in the 1600 block of Eaton Avenue at 9:18 p.m.

• An apartment fire was reported in the 100 block of
Eaton Avenue at 1:48 a.m.
• A theft report was made in the 400 block of North Villa Avenue at 3:24 a.m. The suspect was described as a female
wearing all black.
• A theft report was made in
the 300 block of East Tulare Street at 1:16 p.m.
• A theft report was made in the 500 block of North Crawford Avenue at 3:45 p.m. A plant in a ceramic pot was reportedly stolen.
Friday, April 5
• A noise complaint for loud subjects and loud music was reported in the 200 block of West North Way at 12:37 a.m.
• A theft report was made in the 1700 block of East El Monte Way at 11:29 a.m. Items were reportedly taken from Autozone.
• A male in a green shirt was reportedly holding a female at Magnolia Market and was not allowing her to leave. It was reported at 3:40 p.m.
• A suspicious subject was reported in the 1100 block of Lindara Avenue at 8:11 p.m. A male reportedly wearing a black hoodie and jeans was seen at a vacant lot.
Saturday, April 6
• A grass fire was reported in the area of Avenue 416 and Road 92 at 4:57 a.m.
• A bike seat was reportedly stolen in the 700 block of West El Monte Way at 7:24 a.m.
• A transient was reportedly
up surveillance.
During the arrest, Garza
was found to be in possession of a box of live ammunition, 20 grams of meth and drug paraphernalia consistent with narcotics sales.
She was transported to the Adult Pre-Trial Facility where she was booked on her warrants for violating her probation terms. Additional chargers for possession of the ammunition, meth and drug paraphernalia will be submitted to the Fresno County District Attorney’s Office for review.

Tulare County Sheriff’s Deputies are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a pair of thieves responsible for a number of burglaries throughout the county since the beginning of the year.
On Jan. 8, TCSO Deputies were called to burglary at a house in the 41300 Block of Road 40 in Reedley, where the suspects broke into a shop building and took several motorcycles and an Arctic Cat. The total estimated loss was $26,000.
On Apr. 4, Detectives from the Sheriff’s C.A.T.T.C.H. team received information that the stolen property was being kept at StorMax Self-Storage Facility in Dinuba. During a warrant,

Monday, April 1
• A noise complaint for loud music was reported in the 1900 block of East Olive Way at 2:53 a.m.
• Subjects were seen drinking at the entertainment plaza in the 200 block of South L Street at 1:19 p.m.
• A suspicious subject was reported in the 140o block of East El Monte Way at 4:26 p.m. A male in a black four-door Honda with tinted windows reportedly seemed to be casing the area.
• A male was reportedly pushing and hitting a female in the Walmart parking lot. He was reportedly wearing red shorts and a gray tank top.
• A subject was reportedly yelling and throwing rocks at a house in the 300 block of South M Street.
• A noise complaint was reported for kids playing basketball at Wilson Elementary School at 10:46 p.m.
Tuesday, April 2
• A non-injury traffic collision was reported in the area of Avenue 416 and Road 96 at8:26 a.m. A vehicle reportedly went into a fence in the area.
• A male customer reportedly called an employee in the 400 block of West El Monte Way and stated he was going to break their windows.
Detectives found a 2008 Yamaha and a WR450 dirt bike, which was stolen in connection to this case. The recovery value was estimated at $1,700. The stolen property was returned to its rightful owner. Detectives also found another motorcycle and Quad, which had been reported stolen out of Fresno County. The owners of those vehicles were notified and got their property back. Detectives from TRATT also assisted with the investigation by recovering a stolen engine and transmission that were previously removed from a 2007 GMC out of Parlier.

Michael Gabriel Arroyo was born on March 8, 1977, in Los Angeles, California, and passed away on March 23, 2019. Michael moved to Dinuba, California when he was legally adopted by Fredrick and Mary Ann Arroyo. He was welcomed by his new family in time to celebrate his 2nd Birthday.
Michael grew up in Dinuba, where he was a member of the Dinuba High School Marching Band. He was a drum major and was a part of the drumline. During high school he was also a part of the Sacramento Freelancers Drum and Bugle Corps. Michael graduated from Dinuba High School in 1995. He then went on to March for the Fresno State Marching Band and Drumline. His passion for drumming continued into his adult life where he played with many different bands and talented musicians.
Michael moved to Tulare, California and met his wife Kristy (nee Casper) on his 24th birthday. He attended a college night at Bethel Assembly Church and met a young lady with whom he started a family. Michael and Kristy Arroyo were married on June 7, 2003. Their love and support for each other was shown through their two children: daughter Jordyn age 16, and son Caleb age 11.
Mike is survived by his father Rick Arroyo, mother-in-law Marjorie Casper, and his four sisters Kimberly Arroyo (Alfredo Martinez), Evelyn Rodriguez (Juan Rodriguez), Angie Alva (Felipe Alva), and Priscilla Arroyo. “Mikie” is also survived by many aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his mother Mary Ann Arroyo.
A concert to celebrate Michael’s life and his lifelong passion for music will be held on April 11 at The Cellar Door, 101 West Main St, Visalia. Doors open at 6pm. Concert 7-9pm. All ages.
