Book Fair
Kids who grow up in ahomewithasfewas20 books reach a higher level of educational than those who don’t! Please challenge your children to read 20 min. The Scholastic book fair will be at St. La Salle School from Oc- tober 15 through October 19.
Parent Teacher Confer- ences **Please note dates have changed**
Parent Teacher Confer- ences will take place on Oc- tober 18th and October 19th. We request the parents to register online on Option C starting Monday, October 8th. Please call the school office for any questions or concerns.
Yard Sale
We will be accepting any donations in good condition for the yard sale from Oc- tober 17th – October 19th. Our annual fall Yard Sale will run from October 24th &25thfrom3p.m.to6p.m. and on October 26 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Please do not send computers or electronic equipment.
Red Ribbon Week Activi- ties Oct. 22 - 26- With God, we will be strong together and fight against bullying and drugs! These are some of the activates the students will be participating in this week.
Monday -Real Heroes Don’t Do Drugs Day. Dress up as your favorite hero.
Tuesday- “HAIR’S TO A DRUG FREE LIFE”. WEAR CRAZY HAIR!
Wednesday- “Follow Your Dreams, Don’t Do DRUGS”, students and staff wear your pajamas. (Pajamas or uni- form, PAJAMAS MUST BE APPROPRIATE ATTIRE)
Thursday - “Team Up Against DRUGS”, Students and Staff wear team jersey’s
Friday- “It’s Cool To Be Drug Free!” Wear sunglass- es to shade out drugs.
All Saints Day
November 1st All Saints Day Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Students will come dressed in a saint’s attire. Prayer service for all souls in Purgatory. During the month of November, we shall remember our faithful departed. Students will bring in the names of their beloved departed.
Safe Environment Train- ing - The Diocese requires all volunteers to be “Safe Envi-
ronment Cleared”. No one will be allowed to participate in school sports, field trips, class parties, etc., until they have been cleared through the Diocese. The following requirements must be met before volunteering:
*Fingerprinted: You must be fingerprinted through the Diocese of Fresno.
Please pick up the form in the front office. This is done only one time.
*SE Training: You must complete the online course Protecting Children in the 21st Century. The website is https://safeandsacred-fresno. org. Print the certificate and bring it to the school office with $10.00. You do not have to complete this course every year.
*Code of Conduct: Sign and return the Code of Conduct to the school office. This must be done every school year. Copies are available in the school office.
*TB Test: ALL VOL- UNTEERS MUST RENEW THEIR TB SCREENING. BRING A COPY OF YOUR RESULTS OR COMPLETE THE TB RISK ASSESS- MENT QUESTIONNAIRE. A LICENSED HEALTH CARE PROVIDER MUST COM- PLETE FORM. FORMS ARE LOCATED IN THE SCHOOL OFFICE

FFA Students at the Fresno Fair: We were ex- cited to have Immanuel represented at the Fresno Fair by 12 FFA students. They presented 3 species of livestock this year! Students participated in the following showings:

Athletics News: Oct. 11 our girls volleyball teams played at home against Selma High School, the game started
at 4 p.m. Oct. 12, our girls ten- nis team hosted the CSL Finals at the Immanuel Sports Com- plex at 9 and our boys football team traveled to Sierra High School for their Friday Night games, kick off was at 5 p.m. with JV and 7 p.m. for Varsity.
Save The Date! Our 11th Annual “Eventide by The Riv- er” Auction will be held in our gym on Nov. 17 at 5 p.m. With every year bringing more and more support, we have high hopes that this year will be bigger than ever. This pre- miere fundraiser event will directly benefit and improve the educational experience for all students Kindergarten through 12th grade.
