INTRODUCTION


               An ideal school works to build a safe environment to build safe
               learning space, it is led by people who value others, their voices

               and need for change. An ideal school works to make the
               curriculum relevant to the learners’ lives. This discussion will be
               based on the ideal teacher needed for Protea Glen secondary

               school. To guide the discussion the following themes are to be

               used namely:

                   ●  Curriculum

                   ●  Resources
                   ●  Behaviour,
                       teacher & learner

                       attitude and ethics

                       & professionalism
                   ●  Over crowding
                   ●  School

                       management
               Each theme will be

               discussed for the school
               context and on that

               theme, there will be a
               description of the ideal teacher needed for the school.




               BODY


               CURRICULUM

               In  terms  of  the  administration  of  the  curriculum  which  is  the

               timetable,  the  timetable  is  not  flexible,  and  the  subjects  are
               allocated  in  a  manner  that  does  not  accommodate  subjects  that

               need more focus for example maths is after lunch and it needs to
