At times, Betsy could be very hurtful. When Matty was injured, she had resented him staying at Badger’s place and went on to refer to it as a dump. She and Sam ended up arguing.
Today, Sam struggled to find the right words to tell her about Saskia’s visit. She wouldn’t take it kindly if she felt that she was being set-up, let alone having rumours going around in the valley that she couldn’t cope. But closing down the bakery business was not an option for Sam.
