ANNUAL CAMP 2024: ADVENTURE, SKILL- BUILDING AND RECOGNITION
Annual Camp 2024 has once again proven to be
an outstanding success, with cadets enjoying
two action-packed weeks of training, adventure, and personal development. This year’s camp took place across three prominent military sites—CTC Driffield, CTC Strensall, and Catterick Garrison, offering cadets a diverse range of experiences. Additionally, the cadets had the thrill of taking part in adventure training at the North Yorkshire Water Park, which became one of the camp’s most memorable highlights.
Over the course of the camp, cadets took part
in various essential test situations and activities, including fieldcraft, shooting, drill, and skill at arms. The cadets demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm and discipline during these sessions, applying the skills they had learned throughout the year.

was shooting, where cadets practiced their marksmanship on the range. Some cadets achieved exceptional groupings, earning praise from their instructors. Several cadets even overcame initial fears to perform exceptionally well in both handling and shooting.
Fieldcraft exercises allowed cadets to put their tactical skills to the test, mastering concealment, observation, and movement techniques in challenging terrain, before heading into their final field exercise putting all their skills and knowledge to the test during the blank firing exercise. Drill sessions enhanced their discipline and teamwork, while skill at arms training further honed their expertise in handling military equipment.
