CLAY TARGET SHOOTING DAY
Saturday 26 February saw 26 cadets from 16 different Squadrons attend the Wing’s first Clay Target Shooting day since the return to face to face activity.
Under the supervision of qualified Safety Officers the cadets had the opportunity to fire 30 cartridges
at targets moving both towards and away from them, giving them a chance to get a real feel for the sport and the skill it requires. Most cadets in attendance had no previous shotgun experience and so were able to feel the instant thrill of hitting a target for the first time.
The weather was kind to the party of shooters with some lovely sunny spells that made the day all the more enjoyable. With more clay target shooting dates planned for the future there will be plenty of opportunity for cadets to get involved in this very interactive activity.
