One of our very own Capt (MAA) Hames RAPTC made the four strong crew accompanied by Lt Col Hall MBE Yorks, Capt Walsh RL and Pte Helm for the Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Rowing Challenge. They rowed the savage 4,828km in 37 days, 13 hours and 53 minutes. A truly remarkable achieve-ment.
After playing the annual RL SNCO Vs Officer’s Mess rugby match I was called out by none other than SSgt (SSI) M J Brightey RAPTC to play for the RAPTC RFU. Challenge accepted! My first cap for the “Apostles” was against the AGC RFU. Not the score we were playing for, however the experience and the chance to represent the club was awesome!
Three weeks in the Harz Mountains employed as the AT Chief Instructor will be challenging they said, it will be fun they said! This is belonging! The experience was unbelievable and the pinnacle of my career so far. The unit conducted a mixture of ATGA/ULAT over the 3 week period to conduct SF1 – 49 personnel passed the course.
RL Vs RAPTC Cricket match
The Lancers have BATUS, Salisbury Plain, Germany, Estonia and Ukraine to name a few commitments, each with its own challenges. The unit have adapted well to APTS and RFT S testing. The unit keep going from strength to strength and continue to dominate the grid square!
