Carver Barracks again was witness to another busy year for the three units it holds. 2019 saw personnel deployed on EOD and Search Operations around the world along with
support to UK Operations. Despite these commitments PD, Sport and AT were still at the forefront as with any Engineer unit, Carver Barracks delivered a myriad of events and successes.
Alongside this SSgt (SSI) Chris Sharpe turned an old indoor range into a state-of-the-art strength and conditioning suite, an idea seen

through from conception to fruition. He also delivered on a first- rate boxing event; a nine bout extravaganza against numerous units. Summer 2019 saw SSgt (SSI) Bo Bowater hand over the reins of 33 Engineer Regiment to SSgt (SSI) Reg Spence and a move back to 16X to take up the post in 7 RHA.
Next training year is looking to be just as chaotic, hosting more events and delivering AT expeditions across a number of different locations.
