'A letter or card,' explained Willow. 'I'm going back to see a pigeon called Casey, who brought me here. He lives on top of a building with other pigeons. If he or another bird agrees, we can send you news from home by telegram. You can reply and your telegram will be delivered to us in Barns Wood.'
Willow looked at Badger, who was now asleep. He was thankful and happy he'd made the journey. Now, he could return home and tell everyone in the valley that Badger was still just as stubborn as always, but was doing fine. He was sad to leave and waved to the other patients before he went to find Slim.
