Charlie Rabbit collected his tool kit and scraped the mud off his boots. He had stayed at Mason Hedgehog's home for an extra two hours today to complete the work. The tiresome detour in the snow to avoid the traps in the meadow irritated him, and his pace had slackened by the time he reached the footpath.
