CADETS ATTEND JUNIOR ANNUAL CAMP 2023
Junior Annual Camp took place at CTC Strensall during the Easter week 8-13 April. The focus of
the camp was to deliver Fieldcraft, Navigation, Adventure Training, and Expedition Training. Amongst other things they took part in an overnight expedition to Malton, experienced Adventure Training at the Yorkshire Water Park near Scarborough, taking part in paddle boarding and the massive Aqua Assault Course
The training days were exciting, challenging
and intense, made more so by the constant battle against the wet weather. Despite that the Cadets really enjoyed themselves, especially with the night time ambush, their first experience of firing blank ammunition.
It was all made possible by our Adult Volunteers and Permanent Support Staff giving up their Easter weekend to provide our cadets with this exciting first experience of an Annual Camp setting.
