                      SOZO






        Throughout the New  Testament the word
        translated into English as “save” is the Greek
        word sozo. Strong’s Concordance defines sozo as:
        “to save, i.e., deliver or protect — heal, pre-
        serve, save, do well, be (make) whole.”
          Without a doubt, the New Testament writ-
        ers used the Greek word sozo to express the
        Hebrew word shalem (whole). Jesus came that
        we might be made whole.
            John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the
            world to condemn the world; but that the
            world through him might be saved [sozo].
            John 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man
            enter in, he shall be saved [sozo]....
            Acts 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that who-
            soever shall call on the name of the Lord shall
            be saved [sozo].
