2. Hardware

A GuardII+ PD card is customized to the customer’s specific needs based on the number
and type of sensors installed; a Bus PD card is used for EMC sensors installed in a directional
topology, a Hydro PD card is installed for EMC sensors installed in a differential topology, and
a Turbo PD card is installed for SSCs. Each PD card can monitor one type of PD installation;
Bus, Hydro or Turbo, and each GuardII+ monitor may have one PD card in it.
There are several options as to how a PD card can be built; contact the Iris Power Sales
department for details on the available options.

2.1. Layout

All the GuardII+ PD cards have the same basic layout:
• Most of the PD card is used for PD sensor input connections

• The Tester outputs are used to provide test signals
