NOTE:
Even if the IID database won’t be used to store measurement data (PD
levels will be tracked through Modbus, for example) a database will still be
required to configure the GuardII+.
6.2.2. Asset Setup
Once the asset is created in the database, filling in the details about the asset will provide
necessary information for a more complete data analysis, as well as help the software
determine appropriate settings for the monitor.
NOTE:
To configure the PD system, the following asset information is required:
• Cooling system
• Line Voltage rating
• Active Power rating
• Operating Frequency rating
• Asset Temperature rating
• Gas Pressure rating if the asset is hydrogen cooled
NOTE:
If adding a PD card to an existing GuardII+, a new asset is not required in
IAM; simply add PD sensors to the existing asset as described in Section
6.2.3. Check to see if the asset already has the required ratings as
described above.
