Safety Memo #39 – CDPH Updated Guidance for Use of Face Masks

California Department of Public Health released new guidance on face masks that will take effect on February 15, 2022.
ACI has been and will be following applicable guidance from local government bodies.

Here is a brief summary of the changes made:
• Masks are required for all individuals in the following indoor settings, regardless of vaccination status.
o Public Transport
o Indoors in K‐12 schools, childcare
o Emergency shelters and cooling and heating centers
o Healthcare settings
o State and local correctional facilities and detention centers
o Homeless shelters
o Long Term Care Settings & Adult and Senior Care Facilities
• Additionally, masks are required for unvaccinated individuals in indoor public settings and businesses.
• Fully vaccinated individuals are recommended to continue indoor masking when the risk may be high.
