I design with enduring respect for the planet, its
inhabitants and its finite resources.
Environmental impact is incredibly important to me. For me it
is about utilising local, beautiful, reusable, recyclable, and/or
sustainably sourced materials, fixtures and products, to create
spaces that function for the needs of its inhabitants. This helps me to
contribute to the greater good through considered design.
I will ensure this value is met through careful curation of products,
materials and finishes selection, understanding and working to meet
sustainability measures and green star ratings. Further, developing a
better understanding the lifecycle for my design schemes, will enable
me to continue developing knowledge about sustainable design,
building systems and construction. In order to best adhere with the
fitout lifecycle, I use the following Green Building Council of Australia
