I see it

I live in a world fueled solely by hate.

I see death on TV and war in tears.
A place that old opinions can dictate,
How people should see open love as fears.

I have seen my peers’ lives ruined with truth,
I see them wish they kept living a lie.
Now the hurt tears flow, bleeding out their youth,

And I hate to see this world make love shy.

I live in a world with dying children.
Where how I identify is a sin.
Our lives have become unsatisfying,

But I hold a spark that burns from within.

I dream of a place where this spark shines through.

We will stand and fight and hold this spark true.
