Approach controllers are responsible for the Terminal Control Area. They are also located at the control tower.
Unlike Aerodrome controllers, Approach controllers use radar to monitor the aircraft.
Lastly, we have area controllers. Area controllers monitor aircraft within the FIR boundaries. They use radar and procedural control to carry out their work.

_ Coordinate air traffic movement to maintain
safe distance between aircraft
_ Coordinate departure and arrivals
_ Issue take-off and landing clearance

This job role is a shift work, which requires you to work in the early morning or late evening.
