9.6 Get Passives
1. You can use a form of get + the past participle
to create a passive meaning. Get passives are
commonly used:
a. to describe something unwanted or a. His dog got hit by a car. He's very upset.
unexpected
b. to talk about something that will have a b. Kim is going to get punished for staying out

c. with certain verbs such as accept, deliver, c. I'm so happy. | got accepted to the University

2. The gerund form of a passive with get is I'm worried about getting fired.
getting + the past participle.
The infinitive form of a passive with get is | don’t expect to get fired.
to get + the past participle.

Conversation A
