3 WRITE about the city project you chose. Write three or four paragraphs. Do you think it has
improved the city? Explain why or why not. Use your chart from exercise 2 and the text in
exercise 1A to help you.
WRITING FOCUS Using Like to Make a Comparison
Use like + a noun phrase to tell your reader that the subject in the main clause and the noun
after like are similar. Remember to put a comma after the phrase with fike.
