FINAL REFLECTION


                         The GRAMMAR II syllabus that I studied this semester was very essential for me

                  because it contributed a lot to my future professional development. Moreover, this syllabus


                  was useful because I learned many things such as how to test grammar, how to design a test among

                  other.  During  this  semester,  I  had  the  opportunity  to  develop  different  elements  that  helped  to

                  increase my knowledge in the academic area.


                         The first element was about to identify the ways that grammatical knowledge can be
                  automated  through  practice.  In  this  element,  I  had  to  make  a  presentation  in  which  I

                  contrasted the differences between accuracy and  fluency.  Also, I gave some concepts of

                  accuracy, fluency, and restructuring that helped me out to understand how I can practice
                  grammar and what the best ways are to my future students can practice grammar. In the

                  second element, the main objective was to compare the types and cases of errors, attitude to
                  corrections, and teachers´ strategies. In this occasion, I had to elaborate a table, in which I

                  had to identify lexical, grammar, and discourse errors including mistakes in the way words

                  are combined about the presentation that I did in the first element. In the third element, the
                  main  objective  was  to  examine  the  elements  of  PPP  and  TTT  when  teaching  grammar.

                  There, I had to make a presentation, in which I developed a model of instruction to identify
                  language  features to  communicate grammatical  intentions  more effectively. In the fourth

                  element was about applying  formal and informal testing when teaching grammar.  In this
                  case, I had to elaborate a test considering three important aspects. They were discrete-item,

                  oral interaction, and written composition. Finally, in the element fifth I had to make a demo

                  class with specific grammar point. I taught past perfect using the rule of economy

                         In  conclusion,  this  syllabus  was  really  important  to  me  because  it  gave  me  an

                  explanation   of  the  use,   significance    and  principles   of  the  grammatical structures  of


                  English to apply  correctly   in the communicative   context with a high level of efficiency

                  Also, it helped me to gain more knowledge in grammar and how to teach it correctly. I


                  could say that I will be ready to move on to the next semester.
