prayer for you, who long for you because of the
exceeding grace of God in you. Thanks be to God
for His indescribable gift!”
(2 Corinthians 9:6-8, 14-15).
This also shows us that by bountiful giving we can connect
with the abundant or exceeding grace of God.
3. Manifold Grace
This is when grace can operate on a multidimensional level.
By this grace a person can function on several levels
productively. Apostle Peter describes it in 1 Peter 4:10,
“As each one has received a gift, minister it to one
another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of
God.”
David, who became king in Israel, is a good example of such
grace. In 1 Samuel 16:13-18 we are told that as David stood
there among his brothers, Samuel took the flask of olive oil
he had brought and anointed David with the oil. And the
Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David from that
day on. Then Samuel returned to Ramah. Now the Spirit
of the Lord had left Saul, and the Lord sent a tormenting
spirit that filled him with depression and fear.
“Some of Saul’s servants said to him, “A
tormenting spirit from God is troubling you. Let
us find a good musician to play the harp whenever
