If you are considering the
sale of your home, here are a
number of tips that will help
you get prepared in time.
SELL YOUR KIDS
Allow plenty of time, there may not be as
much demand as you expect! A property on
the market for a 3 week auction campaign
would quite often require two open home
Google the campaign. Children can present a big
exhibitions a week before Auction day.
This is a minimum of 6 open homes during
challenge during this time. Alternatively,
call a family meeting and have a clear
strategy about who, what, where and
how. Kids need to be clear in the role they
play in the presentation of your home.
Consider financially incentivizing them or
initiating internal competition around the
presentation of their rooms if required.
GO ON A FAMILY HOLIDAY
This is a sure fire way of ensuring the
house remains clean! Think of this as an
investment, not an expense. Even a 1 or
2% better result will more than pay for
the family holiday. This can turn what
could be a stressful time into a wonderful
family experience. Alternatively, make
arrangements for the children to stay on
a Friday night with family or friends in
preparation for Saturday's exhibition.
TO DO LIST ON THE FRIDGE
This is crucial. This can not be on any
form of an electronic device! A list of the
weekly tasks and which family member is
assigned to each task on what day must be
on the fridge door. We suggest that until
the designated task for each individual
