Page 19 - Terri 60 years

y earliest memory of Terri was when I was about 4 or 5 years old, and
decided to enter a contest at the local store where you had to draw a
M picture of the Flintstones in order to win the grand prize.
I really wanted to do well but was having a tough time drawing anything close
to the cartoon characters. Of course, big sister Terri was there to help and spent
hours with me helping me get a drawing that was worth submitting.
What do you know, I ending up winning the prize! I don’t even remember what
the prize was, but I was so excited at the time. More importantly that story
captures what Terri has always been about for me. Always there, always caring and
always lending a helping hand. No question I won the jackpot when they were
handing out sisters. There are none better than my Sis Terri.
Love you! Pete
y fondest memory of my Aunt
Terri is not one memory per se,
M it is more of an accumulation of
little memories over time.
The Tinella family were born green thumbs,
going from both of my grandparents, my
aunt and uncles, even some of my cousins.
Terri took over a lot of the gardening at my
grandparents and would keep the garden
fl ourishing. All this gardening was a lot of
work for one person but not for a young lad
like me. I would help my aunt pull plants and
replant plants everywhere and anywhere you
can think of. We would pull some from her
garden or my grandparents’ garden then
bring it up to the cottage, then proceed to
bring some back to another garden.
All this gardening gave me a bigger
appreciation for vegetation and especially
fl owers, I don’t think I had such a liking
for fl owers until Terri showed me what a
beautiful hobby it is to garden.
