“Everyday objects create amazing shadows.”

         “The shadow is different to the object that is creating it.”

             “You can play and manipulate shadows to find something new.”

                                                                                 http://www.spoon-tamago.com

                                              “There are different shapes of shadows: natural shadows are blobby;
                                              manmade shadows are precise; on a bland day shadows are dull but on
                                              bright days they are dramatic with contrast.”

            The internet can be a wonderful tool for offering different perspectives. Searching for artists working with
            shadows lead to some surprising discoveries, which in turn helped the teacher~researchers to see shadows
            around them in new ways.
            The camera and smart phone have also proved themselves to be wonderful disruptive tools when used with
            curiosity and focus.
