Tree bark captured the imagination of many. A rich sensual place….many forms and colours, textures to feel, never
ending unique patterns and forms, each part individual and unique. They evoked rich language, connections to
memory, imaginative flights of fantasy….and some were named: ’the elephant skin’, ’battle scars’… These names
became part of the language of the group.
