ARTICLE THE PRIDE OF AFRICA

ell, being a woman is not just a lifetime's job but rather goes into the
afterlife as you teach your children to never forget their home training
Wand prepare them for the time you will meet your Chi, giving them
advice and leaving an imprint in their life. Even when she is gone people refer to
her children's actions saying, “It is their mother's training”. This heavy cross for
this woman who is thought to be frail and weak. Yet, she carries it with diligence
          and she is not honoured.

It is often said in some places that women do not have what it takes to be in
authority. It is said that she does not have the panache, the command of authority.
                                                                  And now I ask,
Now, let it be clear that our “What was that
submission is not weakness neither is force, the authority
it meekness. It is maturity. Let it be that molded you into
clear that respect is not fear. Let it be the disciplined,
clear that no man should lay his reputable citizens of
hands on a woman in any way; the society? If she
physically, sexually or mentally in could do it for her children, then she can surely do
the claim of manliness or any other it for her nation. She is patriotic, authoritative and
font. capable. I ask again, “Looking at our country,
have the men in authority really done their jobs?
The country is in a state of chaos; it is time for us
to say “NO.” I know that women are capable of nurturing our nation into the land of rich soil with so much
          prospects, as it should be.

I am an African woman. We are Africa. Standing now, I and all my fellow African women say, “NO!” to
subjugation, “NO!” to chauvinism and most of all “NO!” to the defamation of character of the girl child and
women at large. We all say that we are capable and nothing is beyond us. We are strong and we are capable. Just
as many are called and few are chosen, anyone can be called a woman, but not everyone can be an African
woman. Anyone can be a mother, but not everyone can be an African mother. We are loud, we are proud and we
are sound and therefore our voices shall be heard. For we are BLACK, we are BOLD and we are
          BEAUTIFUL!
