ARTICLE THE ULTIMATE GIFT
The gift of Gratitude: It is funny how those with so much to be grateful for are
not grateful, while those with little are quite grateful for the meagre things they
have. It is being thankful that there is something, be it a thought, a deed, or an
action towards you.
The gift of Learning: Learning, the never-ending trend we cannot avoid. From
learning from simple commands to learning from our mistakes and those of
others. Learning is inevitable, but what matters is what we choose to learn.
We should learn to be good, kind, caring, hardworking and models for
other members of the society.
Finally, the gift of love: Love, though an abstract thing, is beyond
comprehension. It is a feeling towards those dear to us. We should love others
more than we love ourselves and care for others more than we care for
ourselves. Love is what makes the world go round, not money. It is accepting
someone for what he or she is, despite all imperfections.
Life is not the type of gift we expect to be wrapped in colourful papers and bright ribbons. It is full of
challenges, problems, worries, troubles and obstacles that we need to overcome. Only then do we find
happiness, joy, laughter and other wonderful things. These gifts are only a guide to obtaining the
ultimate gift- a life lived to its fullest.
