MY LOVE FOR GOALKEEPING
MY LOVE FOR GOALKEEPING IS MORE THAN I CAN IMAGINE. PEOPLE MAY THINK A
GOALKEEPRS JOB ON THE FIELD IS JUST TO PREVENT BALLS FROM ENTERING THE
POAST BUT IT IS MORE THAN YOU CAN EVEN THINK OF . TO ME BEING A GOALKEEPER
MEANS THE WHOLE WORLD TO ME . BEING A GOALKEEPER IS LIKE PREVENTING ALIEN
FROM INVADING YOUR PLANENT .I ALSO LIKE GOALKEEPING BECAUSE IT KEEPS ME
FIT AND TEACHES HOW TO BE ALERT.
BEING A GOALKEEPER MAKES TO KNOW HOW TO ALWAYS SURPPORT MY TEAM NO
MATTER WHAT. SOMETIMES BIENG A GOALKEEPER YOU MUST NOT ALWAYS CATCH
THE BALL AND IT CANALSO ENTER THE POAST BUT YOU DO NOT HAVE TO FEEL BAD IT
IS JUST TRYINGTO TELL YOU SHOULD WORK HARDER AND WITH THE HELP OF YOUR
YOU DO EXCELLENTLY WELL.
MYTHS AND FACTS ABOUT FEMALE
PARTICIPATION IN SPORTING ACTIVITIES
Long Ago in the year 776 BC in ancient Olympics, there was no female participation but only as
spectators. That was the beginning of Gender Discrimination in sports but later, the International
Olympics Committee advocated for gender equality. Right now, Some Communities are doing
Gender Discrimination while some are doing Gender Equality.
These are some Myths and Facts about female participation in sporting activities and how they
are proven wrong:
1. Female are the weaker sex and should not be exposed strenuous sporting activities but
Females are strong enough to enjoy sporting activities of their interest. What they need is
adequate training and proper warm-ups. Women have won gold medals in various sports
for their nations.
2. Lengthy period of exercise by women could destroy their reproductive system but
Exercise tone up the body to be physically fit and do not destroy any part of the body.
3. Women cannot withstand high endurance competitions but Endurance is achieved and
not acquired.
4. Sportswomen have less time for social activities but Sportswomen combine sporting
activities, family and social life adequately like any other female professional. Former
Nigerian athlete, Mary Onyeali Omogbemi who is a very good example.
This is trying to tell us that both Gender should engage in sports so stay safe and do not do
Gender Discrimination.
